To keep at a workout routine, you have to find friends, activity or teachers u can feel passionate about. It should be something you can’t wait to do every day.
Paying that money is also an important motivational factor. No one likes losing their money, so it’s easy to show up.
Paid workouts have proven more effective than free.
My first client was what she considered to be very overweight. I was teaching online Zumba dance workout at that time. She was very self-conscious about her dancing and body. Part of my philosophy is to do what makes it easy, so I said: “hey, just put the camera on your face”. She later told me that that’s what convinced her to try it. So many people do not feel fit enough to go to the gym. It’s also possible to block the camera, but that’s not so much fun.
She went on to lose 50 pounds and become a black-belt martial artist. She also went back to her music career.
Becoming fit will completely revolutionize your life. It gives your energy, optimism, and confidence. Its that life of wellbeing we all want!
It’s an important part of wellbeing. I did weight loss coaching with her as well.
As a result of one session, she changed her relationship with food and learned to love and enjoy food while shedding lots of weight. I do zoom yoga, abs, arms & Wim Hof breathing. I also teach belly dance a few times per week.
I will do any kind of online workouts, any level. Working with any kind of disability or with athletes is enjoyable for me. Everything is adjustable. Although workouts are challenging, everyone can go at their own pace.
You can workout, do yoga, breathing etc at home on your own. but MOST people do not have the discipline.
My philosophy is that there is an exercise u love.
Try everything. I used to think I hated yoga. But then I found the right teacher and the right style. It was restorative yoga with Bernie Wendel. I was tired and sick and depressed and this yoga was laying on the floor in different positions. He said, “there is no effort and not any stretching involved”. I thought “I can do that” and went on to do yoga forever after that. There is a lot of science in these practices and these positions got my energy flowing. It was a deep relaxation of the parasympathetic nervous system and I needed that at that time.
Some classes may be too hard, too easy or maybe you don’t like the music, the atmosphere or the teacher. perhaps you are good at 8 am but not at 6 pm.
I was in belly dance academy for 10 years. I loved it but then got tired of the atmosphere of the academy.
I randomly took a martial arts Muay Thai class which I had no idea what it was. I would not have gone had I known. I almost snuck out before it started because people were hitting things. It was mostly strong young men. They had punching bags, WTH? It triggered my horror and PTSD. But I stayed for class and fell in love and find that hitting and kicking were what the doctor ordered at this time. It changed my life.
So, I encourage u to find something. I can help u get there. I always considered myself lazy and depressive. Moving my body has energized and strengthened me.
Even doing one or two sessions a week with me will change your life. The body is amazing and can change rapidly.
