Plants are what put oxygen into the air and filter out many toxins.
They also add a feeling of relaxation and well being to any space, [plastic plants! :(] anyone knows that a walk in the forest inspires one to breathe deeply and be at peace, but NASA has done a study on the most powerful air filtering plants.

There are lots of websites with photos of the plants anyhow to care for them. All plants are good for oxygen and cleaning the air.
I have a lot of the plants on the list, and the peace lilly is the only one which seems to require much attention.
Dust your plants once a month for optimal air filtering properties.
The snake plant actually creates oxygen at night which other plants do not. I have this one next to my bed.
Many people are worried about mold in the soil of the plants. This is a consideration, especially if you are having mold issues or are allergic. They say you can spray some hydrogen peroxide mixed with water on the dirt and that should kill the mold.
I feel great walking in the woods, after a rainy period when mushrooms are growing. If that bothers you, I would keep plants requiring lots of sun and not have them in the bedroom,( or whatever you and/or your doctor feel comfortable with). I really don’t know that much about mold, except that are are different types and certain molds can ruin your life.I decided not to worry about it the mold and I do spray Hydrogen Peroxide on my plants now and then. Reading about health every day, there is always a catch and drawback to every single positive therapy, nutrient etc. In the end you must study, trust your instincts and senses and do what you feel best. I have lots of plants and two air filters in my apartment.
I like the air in here. That is why I started teaching Dance classes on Skype, The air is so much better in my apartment than any gym.See my ad http://detoxthebodymcs.com/zumba-revolution-cardio-dance-at-home-online/ ). People have actually commented on the air in my apartment!
Since getting MCS, I am an extreme oxygen fanatic. When I was more sensitive I could always sense the amount of oxygen in a place. I can now go into office buildings without feeling that I can’t breathe as easily, but I certainly would not want to work in one!! If I did, I would be surrounded by plants.
This summer in DC looks to be filled with some of the worst air pollution in a long time. I am going to get even more large plants and do all my cardio workouts here.
Plants are being used to restore ecosystems and clean everything from sewage to oil spills. I am thinking that someone has found a plant we can put into out water bottle to oxygenate it and filter it. If you have ever heard of it, let me know. I am sure it’s coming!
This documentary is great .http://www.nfb.ca/film/earth_
I have all of my plants in clay, ceramic and cement planters. Just a the plants are imperceptible giving off air, plastics are producing petrochemical fumes. I have videos on how to minimize indoor air pollution and also on the dangers of plastics.
All plants clean the air and add oxygen, I am also growing herbs and a pepper plant and this greenery which I got to help heal my Chemical Sensitivities has made my living space so much more beautiful and relaxing.
