I figured out the answer to why genius and insanity so often go together.
The artistic mind and other genius types require very high grade brain fuel, we are like jets and can not run on car fuel. The brain is made of almost all fat. Eat grass fed bacon, grass fed beef stews, chicken soup with the skin and fat, raw grass fed butter, coconut oil, avocados, nuts, grass fed eggs, olives, fish oils etc.
My first thought of suicide was at age 4! Now I am usually in a steady good mood. I am really not moody at all. This is a side effect of healing my Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.
This happened as a side effect during the process of healing my body and nervous system of an incurable, completely disabling illness called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity or ‘Toxic Encephalopathy’. My body and nervous system could no longer tolerate ‘acceptable levels’ of daily toxins, cleaners, scents from shampoos, fabric softeners, car exhaust etc. I was confined to the house. I spent years before that moody, depressed, tired and in a brain fog.
One key to feeding the brain and nervous system is to only eat healthy fats and no vegetable oil (except olive), no hydrogenated and feed your body the best organic and nontoxic fuel you can afford! This means no fast food or no chain restaurant food, no matter how health they claim to be. They are not. You have to cook your own food and perhaps investigate a place that uses only olive oil for cooking. I dont know any place that uses coconut oil. Perhaps in California they have this. These quality oils are expensive and most restaurants use GMO corn or soybean oil for cooking or worse!
When I was sick my body craved bacon, grass fed butter and Beef Rib stew and I fed it that. I, and many medical professionals believe this is essential for feeding the brain. Look into Weston Price & other cutting edge doctors.
Along with that the sensitive artistic person needs to know how to take care of that sensitivity. There is a small percentage of the population that is “highly sensitive”. This can include allergies, sensitivity to sound, foods, Electromagnetic Frequencies, chemicals, negative energy; everything. I never had allergies or food sensitivities but am very sensitive to energy. Artists usually fall into this category. One must learn to shelter yourself, know your limits, protect your energy properly, avoid neurotoxic chemicals like fabric softener, air freshener, perfumes, diesel, exhaust any synthetic fumes etc. The sensitives need to take very good care of themselves, instead of taking care of everyone else. We are usually so empathetic that we always want to help others.
It makes me so sad that Robin Williams had Parkinson’s and did not have the information about healing the nervous system. I cured myself of an incurable nervous & system brain disorder called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity MCS, and as a side effect my mood & energy levels evened out. My life long tendency to debilitating melancholy went away. My anxiety is at its lowest level ever. By getting plenty of good fats, lots of nutrients in fruits, vegetables, superfoods etc; my personality became much more stable.
As a result of doing everything to heal my Chemical Sensitivity MCS, I healed my emotions, also healing my emotions healed my chemical sensitivity. I did plenty more to heal my emotions other than eating fats, eliminating neurotoxins, yoga and grounding; but these were the real keys. I also was in therapy and got PTSD EMDR. But the incredible increase and balance in my energy is remarkable. The fats, the grounding and yoga helped tremendously. I had become sensitive to sound and EMFs as my nervous system was increasing shattered by the neurotoxic chemicals.
Drugs may be helpful for some people. One side effect of the drug he was taking is ‘suicide’. Be aware that the long term effects are never studied. That is not how the industry works. I have often thought that being given psychotropic drugs by doctors since the age of about 13 on may have contributed to the hypersensitivity to neurotoxins (MCS) that later developed. I learned that the drug companies never test the long term effect on the brain and nervous system. In fact they have no idea what changing the brain chemistry does to the brain. They never considered what it might do to the developing brain of a child. The brain is not fully developed until age 25. Therefore, if drugs are given they should be coupled with healing modalities. None of those drugs are healing serotonin deficiencies or nervous system disorders. They MAY help the symptoms. I am not totally anti-drug, but I do think everyone should deeply research something before taking it. Doctors do not have good information these days and have lots of pressures to sell these expensive, life long drugs.
If you deiced to take a drug, also do what you can to heal the condition at the same time. Drugs rarely heal a chronic condition. If they did, it would not be called a chronic condition.
There are many natural ways to heal these systems. I think that beneficial fats and ‘grounding’ (see video below) are essential. Activating the parasympathetic nervous system or relaxation response is healing to every system in the body, especially the nervous system and mood. The genius and sensitive brains need to rest. Being hypersensitive actives the ‘stress response” fight or flight syndrome and will cause deterioration of the organs, digestion, lungs etc over time. I use yoga and various forms of meditation, visualization and self hypnosis. Activating the parasympathetic nervous system can not be underestimated.

I am sad that Robin Williams fell into that old black hole and took his own life, but I feel he must be happy at the debates and sharing that his death has sparked. It could have happened to any of us.
