I used to just put the whole milk thistle and flax seed and it was pretty crunchy, so I bought a coffee grinder just for herbs and grind the flax and milk thistle just before use. Bulk flax seed is way cheaper and way more nutritious than buying already “ground flax seed”. Sometimes I ground enough seeds for a few days.
Lately, since I have learned how easy it is to make almond milk (soak almonds from 2 -12 hours, rinse and put in the blender) I put the almonds. water, flax, milk thistle, cinnamon and cardamom in the blender). Even easier, though supposedly less healthy just blend a handful of almonds, brazil, hazel or whatever nuts you like in water.
I get most of the ingredients from the Whole Foods Bulk section. Bulk foods are so much fresher and not smothered in so much plastic.
MILK THISTLE is an incredible seed for regenerating the liver
FLAX SEED is full of Omega 3s and great healing phytonutrients
CHIA SEED is also very high in Omega 3’s, protein and nutrients.
