Natural Products are Bought By Big Corporations & then made with cheap toxic ingredients.
They change the recipes and production to maximize profits and sell you the toxic goods disguised as Organic and Natural.
Body care is not a regulated industry.
The USDA Organic regulations/laws only extend to food items or body care items that are food grade.
Because of lax regulations a body care company can use the word “Natural” any way they want, regardless of if they threw in chemicals and synthetics to the final product.
A company can only use the word Organic (as in the product name, etc) on the front of their packaging if the product contains at least 70% organic ingredients
As soon as a natural product becomes popular, a big corporation will buy it out. Alba Organics, which is still sold by Whole Foods was bought by and smells just like Panteen with a strong neurotoxic ‘fragrance’ and contains Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Octinoxate , Oxybenzone, Peg-100, Sodium PCA, etc.
Burt’s Bees is owned by Clorox, Tom’s of Maine by Colgate, SC Johnson owns Mrs Meyers. Proctor & Gamble owns New Chapter which used to be the highest quality supplement, I am sure its now a cheap and more toxic product. You can check with EWG.
The same is true for farm brands of foods, cosmetics etc. Its worth it to investigate the food and products you use, and investigate often. Its a lot of work, but its worth it.
